Copper Rod and Wires

In addition to our wide range of cables we also supply high quality Copper Rod produced in Copper Rod mill with a capacity of 110,000 tonnes per year and converts Copper Cathode into 8mm diameter Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP) Copper Rod as per BS EN 1977:1998 and ASTM-B49-08a suitable to produce:

In addition to Copper Rod, we also offers drawn wires and stranded conductors. Our Rod Mill uses “CONTIROD®” Technology, a process that involves – Melting, Casting and Rolling. This facility uses novel gas control systems to ensure that each of the 15 burners perform independently. The final result is a cast bar that is more efficient to produce and has the best metallurgical structure.

High Voltage Cables

High Voltage cables are used for bulk transmission of power over 35,000 Volts. These cables with triple layered XLPE insulation are manufactured to BS and IEC standards for a voltage range of up to 132 kV.

We supply a complete range of high voltage cables to the highest international standards. We offer single core copper/aluminium conductor with XLPE insulation and PVC/PE sheathing up to 2500mm² in voltage range of 66kV to 400kV. Our High Voltage Cables will be manufactured to customer's specific requirements and will fully comply with all necessary product testing standards.

Medium Voltage Cables

Medium Voltage cables are triple layered insulated and manufactured for a voltage range of 6kV to 33 kV as per AS, IEC and BS specifications. Our Medium Voltage range of cables includes:

Power plus medium voltage cables

USE: Power Plus Medium Voltage Cables are used for bulk power transmission and distribution

FEATURE: Simultaneous triple extrusion of three layers of insulation under inert atmosphere, rated from 3.3/6.6 kV up to U0/U = 19/33 kV

MANUFACTURED TO: AS 1429.1, BS 6622 & IEC 60502-2 specifications for the following listed voltage grades – 3.8/6.6kV, 6.35/11kV, 8.7/15kV, 12.7/22kV and 19/33kV.

TYPE TESTED AND CERTIFIED BY: KEMA and ESMA

RANGE:

  • • Single core cables: copper / aluminium, screened, armoured / un-armoured, PVC/HDPE/LSF sheathing from 50mm² to 1000 mm².
  • • Three core cables: 6.6kV to 33kV with copper/ aluminium, screened, armoured and un-armoured, PVC/HDPE/LSF sheathing up to 400mm²

BENEFIT: Virtually discharge free XLPE insulation ensures a long and trouble free service life.

Power plus medium voltage cables for OGP

TYPE: Lead Sheathed Cables

USE: Underground cables in oil, gas and petrochemical industries, in dry and wet regions.

FEATURE: Designed to facilitate land-based activities in the oil, gas, petroleum and chemical industries where the spillage or seepage of corrosive liquids and vapours pose a threat to cables.

RANGE:

  • Single core copper/aluminium conductor with lead sheathing from 50mm² to 1000 mm²
  • • Three core cables with copper/aluminium conductor with lead sheathing from 50mm² to 400mm²

BENEFIT:

  • The lead sheath provided in these cables performs the mechanical function of acting as a barrier to entry of Hydrocarbons.
  • The lead sheath of the cables can also be engaged to perform the electrical function of sharing the earth fault current with the armou
  • Lead Sheath also protects cables against radial moisture ingress.

Low Voltage Cables

Low Voltage cables are used to supply power to large motors and other industrial equipments. These cables are manufactured for a voltage range of 450v/750v, 1kV, 3.3kV for AS, BS and IEC specifications. Our range of Low Voltage Cables includes:

PVC Insulated Wiring Cables

TYPE: PVC insulated wiring cables

USE: Electrical power, lighting and internal wiring in households, industrial and administrative buildings, Agricultural premises, switchgear and distribution boards.

FEATURE: Have excellent thermal properties of insulation

OPERATING TEMPERATURE: They are used and operate at a temperature of 75 °C, 90 °C, 105 °C

TYPE TESTED AND CERTIFIED BY: BASEC, Lloyd’s Register and ESMA.

SIZES: Manufactured in sizes from 1.5mm² to 630 mm² rated 0.6/1 kV AS 5000.1. 450/750 V as per BS 6004.

BENEFIT: PVC insulated cables provide more flexibility and less bending radius for installation.

NOTE - our PVC insulated wiring cables can be manufactured to higher operating temperature using insulation with a special grade PVC customized for client specific requirement.

Duflex - Flexible Cables

TYPE: Single and Multi-Core Flexible Cables.

USE: Designed for indoor wiring applications, connecting handheld equipments such as power drills, hand grinders etc where cables are subjected to stress by kinking and twisting.

OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 70 °C, 90 °C, 105 °C

MANUFACTURED TO: AS 5000.1, BS 6004, BS 6500, IEC 60227, BS 7919.

RANGE: Class 5 Copper conductor, PVC insulation, sheathed/unsheathed from 0.5mm² to 240mm².

XLPE Insulated Low Voltage Cables

USE: Supply power to large motors and other industrial equipment.

OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 90°C in continuous duty and a limiting short circuit temperature of 250°C.

TYPE TESTED AND CERTIFIED BY: BASEC, Lloyd’s Register and ESMA

MANUFACTURED TO: AS 5000.1, BS 5467 and IEC 60502-1 specifications for the voltage range of 0.6/1 kV and 1.9/3.3 kV systems.

BENEFIT: These cables have a long service life with a defect free insulation.

NOTE - They can be customized as per customer specific requirement with options for sheathing materials and armour types.

Fire Performance Cables

Fire Performance Cables are intended for applications requiring circuit integrity during fire. These cables generate very low smoke and are halogens free thus helping to save human life and protect the sensitive equipments.

Ducab Flam BICC

As we strive for quality, high level of customer satisfaction and to fulfill our customers' existing requirements; we are pleased to announce Flam BICC, our new Fire Resistant Cables range that will replace Ducab FR cables. The Flam BICC range is third party certified by LPCB.

Ducab Smoke Master – LSF

TYPE: Low Smoke and Fume Cable

USE: Intended for applications requiring circuit integrity during a fire mainly used in Fire Alarm systems, sprinkler systems in schools, hospitals, cinemas and railways.

FEATURE: Cross-linked insulating material which is capable of operating at a temperature of 90°C

TYPE TESTED AND CERTIFIED BY: Ducab Smokemaster is certified by BASEC, Lloyd’s Register and ESMA.

MANUFACTURED TO: The Conduit Wiring cables are manufactured to BS 7211 whereas armoured cables are manufactured to BS 6724 or IEC 60502-1 specifications.

  • Improved fire protection that reduces the risk to building occupants

Instrumentation and Control Cables

Instrumentation and Control cables are used for data transfer or control circuits. Widely used across the OGP industries these cables are manufactured to BS and IEC standards. Upon request, We can supply Special Cables as per national and international specifications. Our range of Instrumentation and Control cables includes:

Instrumentation & Pilot Cables

TYPE: Instrumentation and pilot cables

USE: Generally used within industrial manufacturing plants for control, communication, data and voice transmission signals. These cables are used typically in industrial projects and OGP industries. They are also used to connect electrical instrument circuits and provide communication services in and around process plants with detail signal transfer.

BENEFIT: Our Instrumentation and Pilot Cables have induced voltage control. These cables are also designed for installations where interferences suppression is required.

NOTE - Additional Lead sheath can be provided for these cables for use in OGP industry where the cables will be subjected to corrosive penetration and solvent attack. Instrumentation Cables with XLPE insulation and Pilot cables can be customized to client specifications.

Low Voltage Control And Auxiliary Cables

TYPE: Control and auxiliary cables

USE: Operates small LV power supply to single or three phase A.C. loads, control circuits, processing machines, conveyors, production lines etc.

TYPE TESTED AND CERTIFIED BY: BASEC, ESMA and Lloyd’s Register.

MANUFACTURED TO: AS 5000.1, BS 5467 & IEC 60502-1 specifications and are rated 0.6/1 kV.

RANGE:

  • Control Cable with Copper conductor-XLPE/PVC insulated covering sizes 0.5 mm² up to 10 mm² in 2, 3 and 4 cores
  • Auxiliary Cables with Copper Conductor XLPE/PVC insulated covering sizes 1.5 mm², 2.5mm², 4mm² from 5 cores to 61 cores

BENEFIT: Control and auxiliary cables both armoured and unarmoured can be offered with a common/overall screen or shield. The screening material is plain annealed copper tape/copper laminate/aluminium laminate as specified.

NOTE - - These cables are used for fixed installation where bending maybe required with medium mechanical stresses. We can still offer the cables to 1997 version of BS 6346 if required.

Lead Sheathed Power Control & Auxiliary Cables

TYPE: Lead Sheathed Power Control and Auxiliary Cables
